Stone Studio is a fully-outfitted state-of-the-art recording studio retreat on a picturesque gravel road in the Taconic Mountains of upstate New York. The studio is located on a 38 private acres surrounded by state forest land, and is owned and operated by platinum-streaming recording producer/ engineer Graham Stone.

On the west side of the Taconic range the mountains slope rapidly into the Hudson Valley of upstate New York. Towns such as Chatham NY and Hudson NY are easily accessible and have much to offer visitors from near and far (Hudson offers a 2 hour Amtrak train to and from NYC's Penn Station). On the eastern side of our tucked away retreat lies the Berkshires of Massachusetts, an equally popular escape for artists who crave natural beauty with an abundance of culture and art.

The studio embraces a recording retreat model for bands and artists who want to get away from the distractions of their daily lives and focus inward on their music in an ideal rural setting. "Close to everything, but a world away from it all." We are 2.5 hours from NYC via the Taconic State Parkway, and 2.5 hours from Boston via the Mass-Pike I-90. Additionally accessible by air, via a short 45 minute drive to the Albany NY international airport. On the property we offer housing for artists who wish to stay multiple days to work on their projects. We have a swimming brook that you hear peacefully babble from outside the studio, a wood fired hot tub, and have an extensive network of trails that access our 37 acre plot, with abutting mountain trail access to the Harvey Mountain State Forest. If you're seeking quiet and nature, you've come to the right place. But also, we are only a 12 minute drive from incredible food, cocktails, and coffee in both Chatham NY and West Stockbridge MA (home to Tanglewood, the summer home of the Boston Symphony Orchestra).
